Growing Detroit-Focused Title Firm is First to Join the New Guardian Building

Detroit, Mich., May 10, 2004 - LaMont Title Corporation, a Detroit-based title agency specializing in urban redevelopment and commercial transactions, will be the first tenant to move into the newly refurbished Guardian Building on May 15, 2004.

LaMont Title Corporation started two years ago with three staff, including President Catharine B. LaMont, J.D., one of Michigan’s leading title experts. The employee count has now risen to 16. According to Ms. LaMont, the move within the Downtown area is consistent with the company’s mission.

“I formed LaMont Title Corporation to support, grow and enhance communities through the revitalization of Detroit, while also providing superior support to our commercial clients,” explains Ms. LaMont. “Our original Fort Street home proved to be a wonderful launching pad for the company but we are thrilled that speedy growth has prompted a move to the Guardian Building, one of Detroit’s true architectural gems.”

LaMont Title Corporation will occupy 7700 square feet in an office environment that reflects the Guardian Building’s art-deco heritage yet meets the needs of today’s busy, technology-driven work environment. The space planning and interior design was completed by Harrell Scarcello, ASID, of Bingham Farms-based Scarcello Associates, Inc.

Among the office’s sophisticated interior highlights are open, ergonomically designed work areas flooded with natural daylight, handsome wood and fabric finishes that complement the building’s existing marble, and elegantly appointed conference rooms for staff and client meetings.
