LaMont Title Corporation President Catharine B. LaMont Talks Up
Detroit on Comcast Newsmakers Show
Detroit, Mich., June 15, 2004 – Catharine B. LaMont, J.D.,
President of LaMont Title Corporation, a Detroit-based title agency
specializing in urban redevelopment and commercial transactions,
was selected by Comcast Newsmakers for her personal perspective
on Detroit’s resurgence and the area’s “Cool
Cities” initiatives.
Comcast Newsmakers is a locally produced feature that airs as
a regional cut-in on CNN Headline News. The interview with Ms.
LaMont is schedule to run several times a day on the CNN channel
in Detroit the week of July 14, 2004.
Ms. LaMont is a title industry veteran and one of Michigan’s
leading experts in the tax reversion and foreclosure process. She
formed LaMont Title Corporation in part to use her urban title
expertise to support, grow and enhance communities through the
revitalization of Detroit. Ms. LaMont noted in the Comcast interview
that Detroit is already “cool”, thanks in part to historic
architecture, a plethora of well attended community events and
entertainment options, and an impressive increase in demand for
residential housing downtown, sparked by professionals from Compuware,
GM and elsewhere seeking a city-centric lifestyle.
LaMont Title Corporation, www.lamonttitle.com, was established
in 2002 to serve the unique commercial title needs of Detroit’s
business and real estate renaissance, and to continue providing
sophisticated title and escrow support to regional and national
commercial markets. LaMont Title Corporation’s title/escrow
assignments include the purchase of Towers 500 and 600 of the Renaissance
Center for General Motors, the Riverwalk project and numerous residential
urban developments and redevelopments, including condominium projects
in the increasingly popular Midtown area.
